About Fuh-mi
Fuh-mi is a Tokyo-based calligrapher and cultural consultant whose work spans two worlds—one grounded in stillness, the other shaped by motion.
On one side, she creates meditative scrolls and philosophical artworks, most recently exploring inverted calligraphy—white or colored characters emerging from black backgrounds, where silence becomes presence. Her contemporary pieces appear in galleries and international art fairs, drawing on both ancient aesthetics and modern structure.
On the other, she produces bespoke commissions for CEOs, martial artists, and leaders seeking clarity. These works are not decorative—they are declarations. Each brushstroke is shaped by a single question: What word will move this person forward?
Drawing from her background as a cultural consultant, she brings together classical poetry, Zen thought, and samurai philosophy to release each character in a single, unedited gesture. The result is calligraphy as alignment—of spirit, purpose, and presence.
Her works reside in boardrooms, private collections, and reflective spaces around the world. Whether inked on fine washi or painted into the void, her art invites both pause and momentum.
